Do you treat Workcover, TAC, NDIS or Veterans Affairs clients?
No. We provide services on a private basis only. Treatments are not eligible for reimbursement from these organisations, and we do not participate in any related claims or reporting processes.

Is the cost of treatment covered under Medicare?
No, services are not covered by Medicare or under Chronic Disease Management Plans.

Does acupuncture hurt?
Experiences differ – some points may feel momentarily tender or produce a dull ache, but many people find treatments comfortable and relaxing.

Some points can be painful.  Your pain tolerance is considered during treatment.

Do herbs taste bad?
Yes.  Granules often have a strong, sometimes bitter flavour, which is typical in traditional Chinese herbal medicine.

Do you do telehealth appointments?
No, all consultations are conducted in person at the clinic.

Is your clinic accessible by mobility impaired clients?
The clinic is wheelchair accessible. However, access for gurneys or stretchers is not possible. We have a wheelchair available for use.  Please let us know in advance if you require assistance.

Do you use animal or endangered plant products?
Endangered plants are never used. Animal products are avoided as standard practice, though they may be necessary in rare, serious cases where no suitable alternative exists, always adhering to Australian laws and ethical standards.

Do you do dry needling?
Dry needling is a technique derived from acupuncture. Our services focus on traditional acupuncture as part of Chinese Medicine practice.

How do I pay?
We accept cash, EFTPOS and Visa/Mastercard/Amex (1.5% Amex surcharge). Our HICAPS terminal can process eligible private health rebates on the spot.

Can I get a health fund rebate?
Many private health funds offer rebates for acupuncture under extras cover (eligibility depends on your policy). Most funds do not provide rebates for Chinese herbal medicine products. Please check with your insurer for details specific to your cover.

Are you taking students/interns?
We are not currently taking on students or interns.
